Default Sept 17th, Canyon trip.

Team "Just Keep Fishing" will be going out on a overnighter.

Plan is to launch at Ilwaco, grab some livebait, and fish all afternoon/evening for albies. BFT at dusk, and Mr Sword throughout the night.

This is weather permitting of course. We will be fishing the astoria canyon.

Just checking to see if any of the CR, Garibaldi guys wanna wing with us.

Lets talk.

Fish on!

Dylan

I am very intrested in joining you. Myself and Kraken33 were thinking of heading out of westport anyway. We stayed out last weekend and it was pretty cool. Let me know! We are fully ready to engage.

How about Sat 9-24? Seajay and I are talking about it. Is that too far to look out? Might you be available Dean (Keywest)?

Greatone,

As you know, were planning on staying out all night and trolling for swordfish. Being offshore at night is definitely an expierence unlike any other.

Mr_sturgeon,

We will most likely be fishing around the 46 125 line. That's a tad bit further out than your 30 mile range. However the warm water may shift between now and the 17th.

Gotta keep our fingers crossed for smooth seas, clear skies, and a close to shore plume of warm water.

Can you imagine this on the index list! Swordfish video aboard the Just Keep Fishing! Ok Ok slow down! Quit drooling! My camera can not take it! Anyway be assured that if said event happens all will be able to share and enjoy the celabrations. What worries me is having everybody standing on one side of the boat while Mr Sword is tied to the otherside. As much as I would like one of those big guys a much smaller version will be good!

You guys still thinking about staying out overnight?

I have been doing alot of "research" about this night fishing thing and am ready to try it. It would be nice if the weather cooperated, which right now looks to good to be true.

Where are you guys thinking of launching? I would like to run with you guys if you go.

A word of caution, better know you can do this before you plan on staying over night. Last year this time of year we ended up at the 125 15 line which is about 50 miles out.

At this time I am planning only a day trip out there leaving the dock at about 6:30am or so from Ilwaco to take a look at the bar. Predictions if that is what you want to call them are for 1 and 4 with 5 to 10 knot wind from the west as of 9am this morning. AS we all know this could change very quickly with a storm looming the the Gulf of Alaska. I'll make my final call on Friday pm.

Plans change, weather changes..... I just want to plan for the best so I am prepared if it does happen. Not going to do it if looks even close to not doable.

Just off the phone with tracker, all things considered we decided to make just a day trip on sunday. we still plan on live bait if we can get it. the final cost was a big deciding factor as well as it being so late in the season.

Not sure if we will even try for the big fish but you can be sure that if one is caught and we get at the heart you will see it on a video. The overnighter is back on.
