Wetter Than Normal Winter?

According to the "weather experts" we can expect a wetter, but warmer winter in the Northwest than normal.

Climatologists, measuring ocean current temperatures, jet stream direction, and whatever else they do, have predicted that we'll have a wet winter, with even the potential for some flooding.

Of course all of us know that they're never wrong!

Lord knows that the whole western part of the country is in dire need of some rainy winters, hopefully translating into a big snowpack in the high country. :smile:

I'll believe it when I see it. I have only been here 5 1/2 years but they have yet to predict the weather correctly for more than a few seconds in advance.

It would be nice after this past practically bone-dry winter. Snow and the subsequent water in rivers for the next summer would be a very nice thing.
