The bite died Sunday for us with just a driveby at 1st light and a broken pole/lost fish bobber and eggs. I think after this weekends rain....watch out when the river clears if it muddies up!!! Time to lay the smack down!!!

Fished it yesturday and it was slow, saw lot of guides on the river too but no hot bite for the trollers, some bobber action did take place in the late morning and it turned into a circus with everyone trying to fish eggs across the whole river at once.....was fun to watch but no fun to try to troll through! I saw maybe a half dozen caught just down from Windy Bend on eggs and sand shrimp but then we decited to look for somewere else to troll....should have taken some decent eggs with me Did try what eggs I had for a while but no luck.

Was pretty slow overall (or at least for the trollers) Did not see anyone catch on KwikFish this trip. while we were taking the boat out one fishermen at the dock was fighting a nice Nook (his second one in 3 days on a spinner right off the dock.)

Hope this helps!

How's the water level compared to this time last year? Seems like most rivers are way low, but I haven't heard about the Siletz level.

Its tidewater where these guys are fishing and not affected by the river much until it rains, It stays one level and moves with the tide changes. hope this helps?

Yep....wait till we get some decent rain then it should get better. For now its pretty much just tide water fishing, you just never know what they will want from day to day so bring a little bit of everything!

The bobber bite was better than trolling this week but you never know when some fresh fish will come in and want some herring rigs.

Take care,

Oregon
