Default NR vent

I am going to let a little steam off about a problem I have had with my scout. The shift linkage in the tiller handle gets jammed due to the linkage getting bent causing the c-clips to fall off causing it to stay in what ever gear you were in,in my case foward with about 20 feet with no were to go(hit another boat,or choose the piling holding the dock,i chose the piling, ouch a dent in the front of the boat,i tried to get the t-8 down but not in time)I have had the boat in 3 times for the same problem, its happened a couple of other time too(without a accident)the crappy thing is it happened one time with my wife in the skykomish at near flood level and we got bounced around a little before i got the kicker in control, and got the anchor down, now she is afraid to go in a fast moving river. This my delmia,i have talked to NR (Roy B)and told him of my problem, and he said he would talk to the tacoma store and they would gladely take care of the tiller problem and i said what about the dent(my jist of things (SO WHAT sounds like you got a dent)It just make me sick to go to the garage and look at a 38000$ hunk of junk)Any fellow use ifishers care to comment on what i should do.Or should I just let it be and keep the big ugly dent in it?The other complaint i have is when i bought the boat nobody told me that only a selective dealerships would work on tiller motor of that size, when i called yamaha they said there was no such thing as a 200f jet tiller,i said maybe you should go to the columbia river.Other then a few other minor things,I would recomend NR,because i know things happen.IT ok if you tell me to stop whining Thanks..............Jason Schumacher

NR-Don't let them off that easy. #1 you are talking about a saftey issue here, #2 you just spent a ton of dough on a boat that obviously wasn't river tested. Any dealer who would not take care of you on this is obviously not looking at the bigger picture. Daily beatings for the dealer until you are satisfied.

They dont offer tiller handles on big motors becuase of liabilty factor, as I've been told . I have a rogue stalker that I just put a bay kit on . And its scary fast for a sled. and Stevens told me to be very careful and get used to it.
