Archers Afield's great customer service
A couple weeks ago I was getting my son's new bow set up for him at Archers Afield in Tigard. Since he was upgrading to a larger hunting bow, he needed almost everything. One of the older guys(I can't think of his name, but not one of the owners) really took his time to help us out. He installed all the parts we bought and made sure they were set up properly along with the draw length an weight. He did a super job of setting it up. The bow was not bought at the store( it's hand me down youth bow from his cousin) but they helped adjust it to fit my son. The guy even took the time to help correct a couple of shooting form errors with my son. I've been buying most of my archery gear at Archers for years, this is why they will continue to get my $$.

Re: Archers Afield's great customer service
If it's Leroy, he did a great job. It's unusual to get such great customer service these days. I've seen Archers bashed here a few times, but I've had pretty good luck at thier shop.

Re: Archers Afield's great customer service
My last two trips there were pleasant, unlike my bow buying and servicing trips :depressed:

Re: Archers Afield's great customer service
Norm, i'm glad to hear you had a great experience at Archers afield. Unfortunately, this is a rare occasion. I have quit going to archers afield because of there poor customer service. There has been times where i would be standing there 30 mins or more waiting for help. Yes, i would understand a wait if they are busy, but while 3+ workers are sitting behind the counter just shooting the breeze ignoring the customers. That stinks!!! Hopefully they have changed their ways..

Re: Archers Afield's great customer service
They are content to let you wander or just hangout if you want. If you need assistance all you have to do is ask.
I've had nothing but good service, but have noticed that sometimes you may have to get their attention, not a bad thing to me, I hate people hovering around.
5 weeks to go, do you know where your venison is?

Re: Archers Afield's great customer service
Agreed, they are one of the best I have used in the state. They know the woods and the range. They meet commitments and are fair priced. I wouldn't trust my bow to just anyone! They get
****.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">Yeah, and when I asked about the 75% letoff cam on my new bow, and why all the new Hoyts in the shop had 75% cams, I was told....awwwww, no-one ever get's checked anyway!! Remembering of course, that anything over 65% letoff is illegal in Oregon, as well as making any harvested animal inelligible for P&Y (not that it would be a problem for me!)

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">That is how I feel also, I went in there to by a complet bow (mathews legacy) and asked LeRoy if he would help me set it up. He did but, never checked if the knock was in the right spot ot the peep and and rest he just put the stuff on .The bow would not group worth a **** so I called him back and asked if he could help me paper tune it and I got an answer of I cant help you . So I took it to Achery World and they laughed at how he set the knock, rest, and peep. Joe set it up nicely He made sure every thing was correct like, adjusted the rest, peep and knock corectly and helped me paper tune it. also got me the correct arrows for the bow now it shoots like it should.
