Default Sunday B-10 North Side Report

My wife & I headed out in old Blue Bobber this morning after getting the rundown from Eds Bait Shop. Ed said Saturday was dead, but he did hear that a few got lucky in the river. So we spent the morning until high slack fishing the north side from B-10 to Chinook and back. We never had bump and saw a total of two fish taken, and one other guy hooked on to what was a dandy as they went by with the tide. But for the amount of boats on the water today, and it was a great river day, the bite was to be found in the feed bag rather than in the river. Heck I even caught some fresh Anchovies and tried them, no luck. One thing is very noticable this year over the last 40 yrs I have fished the river is the large amount of bait this late in the year. Bait is everywhere and not just in bait balls. Maybe next weekend, but I believe when those fish start to move it will likely be quick. So keep fishing, and remember the fishing is always great just the catch'n sometimes leaves something to be desired!

Good Fishing

Thanks for the report, Soulakala. Maybe it helps us predict the days ahead upriver, where us teachers getting ready for the school kids have to fish inbetween meetings.

We fished on Saturday in the same area that you fished today. We only saw a few fish netted and we let a nice wild Coho go just after high tide. (Caught on fresh herring) I also agree about the abundance of bait fish this year. They are everywhere.

To keep fishing is definitely the right advice though. We will be back on Wednesday to see if we can convince a few keepers to take a chance in fresh herring again! Good luck on your next outing as well.
