Default Short Drano Report 9/3 ............ (PIG URB pic)

Home from Drano for a quick reload, then back @ it next week.
Trolling for URB's was a little spotty, with some strange weather, but the Chinook bite is picking up along with the Bonneville Dam URB count.

Keith Garret from Maryland, got big fish honors on my boat this week, with this 40ish lb URB on Wednesday....

Denny from Ritzville landed one of the smaller kings of the week, with this fin clipped Summer Chinook/URB?....I've never seen a clipped CR Fall Chinook?....

Still picking up some nice Summer Steel as well, from 6#-15#, with most days a 50/50 ratio of nates to brats....

Thanks to everyone who fished this week, wish everyone had caught a fish or two like Keith's.... maybe next week

To any fellow ifishers looking to get in on some Gorge Downriggin, my next open seats are Friday Sept. 16th and the last week of the month, the 24th thru the 30th.

Pm or email me till Tuesday 9/6 and after that, please call
my cell (509)952-9694

There's a hog Bob!! I saw you at Drano last weekend, I think it was, among all the chaos but you were heading one way and I was heading IN!! It's been weird this year...very unpredictable.

Anyways, great work once again!!

I was fortunate enough to get out with Bob on Friday. The fishing was a lot better than the catching, but still had a great time. A great guy to fish with and he makes a mean steak sandwich. Thanks again Bob, Clinton

PS Hey Bob, what kind of reel works best for targeting Steelhead in the calm waters at Drano?

Hey Bob,
Thanks for the trip on Friday. I had a great time and enjoyed the conversation. And yes, what about the reel . Inquiring minds want to know.
Good luck next week,
Dave

Actually they clip fall chinook at the Priest Rapids hatchery in the Reach. They make up a pretty small percentage of the run up here but we've caught a few clipped ones fishing the Reach. The biologists like to take the head to retrieve the PIT tag if you catch another.

Nice to meet you Clinton, and Dave, see you guys on the Klick.

Starfish thats right, I remember when I used to fish the "Reach," and the fish checkers would take the heads of the few hatchery fish we would catch.....thanks for the heads up.
