National Guard accepting items for hurricane

This is a very short notice request. The Oregon National Guard will be accepting items for donations to hurricane Katrina survivors on Saturday, September 3.

When: Sat. Sept 3

Hours 11-7pm

Location: 7118 SE Fern, Portland near Johnson Creek Blvd

Needed Items:

Wet wipes, Diapers, basic first aid items, disinfectants,
Comfort kits - disposal razors, tooth brushes, combs, q-tips, toilet paper, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc

Non-perishable food

Items collected will be transported to Camp Withycomb, palletized, and deployed with the National Guard on Monday.

Dang I wish this was closer ot me or there was a place closer, I have stuff from diapers to wipes to clothes that I wanna make sure get DOWN THERE and not somewere else.

Ya kind of special delivery. I am waiting to hear that I am deployed down there.

If I was not a stay at home mom, I think I would go down and volunteer.
