Default New Boat, new Life

Had an 18' with 135 OB Merc, had it for 7 years, but threw my back out lifting it...friend told me to get I/O which I rejected for years. Took my military Retirement and bought new boat Crestliner Sprotfish 2050 w/4.3 L Volvo I/O ...can't think why I waited and struggeld with the old OB. Determining factor was the new legislation to retiere 2 strokes for 4 strokes. For all my grief in my old boat I never caught anything but shakers. 1st time out in new boat caught a 43" 35 lb Tule (not much good to eat, but a lot of fun to catch).

Crestliner makes a beautiful metal boat. Make sure you propoerly winterize that I/O. The volvo/penta outdrive is smooth also. I have the 4.3L with a mercruiser drive and it runs great.
Congrats on the boat. You should post some pictures of it.
