Default Hood Canal

Heading up to hood canal this weekend. Anybody have any advice on catching the kings and silvers there? I've never fished that area or the canal for that matter. I've been told the silvers are running there right now and the kings are still scraggling thru. I've got a fish off with another buddy of mine who is taking his boat. I need to win this bet. Please help!

We fished the canal today. Bald Point was dead; the nets were in up to Hoodsport(chumville). Had four fish on, (landed only one 25lb chinook) trolling along the shoreline just to the North of Finch Creek, 30ft down on the 'rigger in 60-80ft water. Cop Car and Funky Chicken, coyote spoons on 47" 25lb leader behind full size hot spot flasher. Oh, used anise scent too. Trolling speed was 2.2-2.7mph.

Coho are hitting the smaller spoons, herring, and prawn spinners.

Good fishing,
Hans

I'm planning on fishing tomorrow. I'm hoping it will be better by then.

Hoodsport(Chumville)

Today we went 0-7. Lots of fish in the area, but they didn't want to come home to be the guests of honor at the BBQ .
