Hevishot Group Discount....
Okay kids here is the run down. At this point this is strictly FYI and to see who/if anyone is interested in doing this.
In GRB's previous post, we had some discussion of possibly doing a group purchase of Hevishot. Here is what it would cost. Keep in mind that over the counter Remington Hevishot goes for around $20/box of 10($2 a round). On the Hevishot website, you can get it for $16.99/box ($1.70 a round).
We would have to order a MINIMUM of 20 cases (250 rounds per case.) The usual cost per case is $415; however, if we order 20 or more the price drops to $350/per case. ($14.00 per box, $1.40/ shell). This would be for any round (2 3/4" or 3" 12 ga). That is #6, #4 or #2 shot with 1 1/4 oz of shot. We can mix cases, so if you wanted a case of #6 for ducks and #2's for geese you could order both under the discounted price.
We can mix and match as many cases as we/you need to come up with 20 total. So if you can't afford a whole case, you and a buddy could go in on a half case (125 rounds).
They will split the order and have them shipped to the individuals/groups to make it easier for delivery. They also pay shipping. All we have to do is put in the order and pay with a single check.
Depending on feedback, I will put together a mailing list to keep in touch and get actual order count.
For now just post up if you are interested and which round and how many cases you are would want.
Yes/No
If yes, which round (length, shot size)
How many cases (whole or half case)

Re: Hevishot Group Discount....
Yep,
I'll play. My cost per shell without labor (which in my case is low value) is around $1.93.
I have recieved pallets of sporting clays loads for a group of buds in the past and could do this again. That way if they want to ship motor freight on a pallet, it could come here (Sherwood,OR) then folks could pick up.
Just plan on me for about 3 flats, (750 rounds)and I'll detail the mix later.

OK LI, I'll go for a case of 3" #2's. I'll just use my flyswatter for the ducks.

Re: Hevishot Group Discount....
I would take a case of 2/6 (half each) 3" 12ga. (Still have some left over from last year when I bought a case of each. I use a lot fewer shells with heavy shot because I don't have to shoot the same bird three times!)
