Default Cowlitz

Has anyone made the run from the launch at the park there near the highway to the mouth of the Cowlitz? I'd like to know what the channel is like this year. Thank you.

Not as much as I would like too but yes, I fish in the dark and every year I survey the route so I know where to run. This year the only problem spot seems to be right in front of the launch, after you put in run boat upstream about 100 yds. then aim boat at the point where the rail road leaves the rivers edge, stay close to rocks until you're below the mouth of Coweeman river, after that just stay to left side 100 ft. from shore, as you come out of the mouth run right next to the piling with mouth marker "white sign" on it. shouldn't have any problem.
