I see lots of reports out of various ports, but they all concern reports from a floating vehicle of some sort. I think I may have to either get me one or find someone that is willing to make a new friend and take me out and show me the ropes being on the salt. I am new here, and get to the coast once in a while, (every chance I get haha) and love fishing. I usually head to Garibaldi, but once in a while I get to Newport. I haven't been on a real boat in a while and I may even help with chumming.....hahahaha

Yeah we are. I just up the road from Aloha. I am on 158th and Walker. Not too terribly far. I see there is a TA meeting, but what is a TA meeting. I am certain it doesn't mean what I have heard in the past it means :shocked:, but I am sure it has something to do with tuna. I like tuna, and salmon and most other critters with fins. I am heading to Newport for a little jetty and maybe bay fishing, just cause I am a glutten for punishment and loosing tackle.

We will have to strike out soon. I am not sure what the Wilson will produce for fall since I am new here, but that has become a favorite river of mine since i have spotted big steelies in it. Mark

TA = Tunaholics Anonymous. We're all kind of addicted to fishing off the Oregon Coast for Albacore Tuna. TA meetings are where we get together, usually off season to see how we can further "enable" each other with our addiction problems.

Not too many of these meetings in the height of fishing season. If your really interested in meeting some of the Captains you might drop Sweet Louise a PM to see if he needs any help with the Tuna Tournament this weekend. This would give you a chance to meet some boat owners and shake some hands and maybe hook yourself up with a future ride.

Be careful.....there's no turning back. :grin:
