nothing is wrong when the fish are in
It seems that when things are slamming on the CR all the problems in the world dissapear.

Does seem to stop the bickering around here, that's for sure. I'd almost compare it to some sort of addiction. If you're not getting your fix...

So, its not the fishing that does it for us - its the catching. I fully admit that I enjoy catching much more that fishing.

Re: nothing is wrong when the fish are in
Too bad people didn't notice the 180,000 springers that went missin two years ago. People only noticed this years missing 180,000 springers since they shut the fishing down!!!!! Hate to tell you guys this, but in case you haven't noticed. The last couple years summer and fall runs of chinook have been UNDER-predicted!!!!!! HMMMMMMMM. Why is it the springer run is the only run on the CR that gets overpredicted,,,,,,by 180,000 fish the last two years? Could it be the sealions, that don't exist on the summer and fall fisheries since they are mating in California????

I was down at Zooey 10 last week, and I saw a big sealion on a green bouy. He looked very guilty to me, even though he was just laying there. I could tell by the look in his eye that he had been up to no good.
So I'm onboard with your sealion conspiracy theory.
We need to keep a very sharp eye on these tricky unpredictable animals, before they eat all our salmon.
I like my sealion fried.

Re: nothing is wrong when the fish are in
I guarantee people will be complaining next April when the springers don't return again! I'm not trolling, just trying to open peoples eyes. No one ever thought 4 pesky sealions could destroy a once great run of steelhead through the Ballard locks (at least not till it was too late). People are saying the same thing now, only with more salmon, and more sealions!!!! BTW.... I hope people know the difference between sealions and seals. Sealions are a much bigger problem. Someone claimed they saw a hundred sealions off tillamook, and it turns out they were probably seals.
