Rattle cans and Stencils. That matte finish will generally blend in decently.

I was vague on my question .. let me try again.

Our local Marina sells a flat acrilic enamel in the dead grass green. I thought about this as a base and stenciling over the top w/ browns .. is this the correct paint to use ?

has anyone used the Rhino - type lining on the interior of a boat ? pro/con ?

Matt

The important factor is that the paint has a dull finish that won't reflect when wet. I used Hunter green as my base paint, bought it from cabela's on-line.

When you stencil, use a contrasting color as the base to the stencil and then quickly and randomly spray other colors over the stencil.

I am painting my 14' flatbottom DEAD GRASS GREEN and using black, brown, tan, and green all flat finish to break up the outline. You are on the right track. I will use 2 quarts on my boat, the same should work for you. I have camo'd a couple of boats like this now and they look great. All we do to hide them is throw some cut grass or reeds in the bottom and over the seats.
Watch out for the added weight the Arma (Rhino) coatings add. Remember you still have to lug around decoys, dog, & buddies.

I will start stripping my boat down and painting it after the 4th. I have a buddy who paints flames pretty good, so I might have to ghost some on.

Good luck

Check Parker Duck Boat Paint for the base...I think it comes in two colors. Anyway, it is flat and VERY tough. What you use to camo it can be most any good flat paint. Stencils work but any good generally broken pattern is hard to beat.
