I had to prove this wrong. All I could find was this:

Man, oh man, the internet is weird!

I still believe the other plane that "crashed" in the field was shot down by US fighter jets.

I hadn't heard that theory.

They say that they would if it happened again.

Can you imagine being on an airliner that is hijacked and having your own people shoot you down? :depressed:

It's a tough one, but I guess that would be the way to go... to save more people. :depressed:

The guy that first made a big deal about this theory has since studied it for a couple years and admits he was wrong.

Planes are made up of a bunch of small parts and really thin aluminum that tends to melt very rapidly. They aren't made for impact like your car.

When one of these does a belly flop in a field and blows up there isn't much left of it, mix that with a burning building and it's debris and all those small parts dissapear real quick.

I too think they shot the one down in PA. There was to many witnesses in the area that scene intercepting planes headed towards it. Not to take away from the people that were attempting to take the plane back though. They were true heroes and that plane wasn't going to make it to DC regardless.

From your second article:

"The evidence inside the building is consistent with the evidence of plane wreckage outside -- indicating that a commercial airliner flew into the Pentagon on September 11th."

But conspiracy theories are a lot more fun.

So, where did you get your info, sinker? I'd like to read about that.

as far as the size of the parts I got that from working in the machining trade for 11 years.

I'll see what I can dig up on that guy that studied it. Been a while since I seen it. But I know a pretty interesting conspiracy board!!

Here's one article. Not from the same guy, from a conspiracy site but it does show alot of photographic evidence as well as planes being assembled. As you can see there isn't much to them, they're basically a flying bus.

They also mention the hole size in the pentagon. The fuselage diameter of the 757 is 13 feet, when that fuselage gets in deep enough those wings and tail section will rip right off.

I'm not sure what the fuselage size of the 737 is but I remember when they first launched the 777 they said that you can fit a 737 fuselage inside the engine on the 777. 757 is bigger than the 737 but not by that much.

I remember a news show right after 9/11 and they interviewed an air force pilot whose wife was a commercial pilot and he was faced with the fact that he may have to shoot his own wife down.

If that is what really happened in PA I'd imagine that pilot is in a padded cell somewhere today.

I can say with almost positive certainty, if the plane you are on is hijacked over the continetal US, unbuckle your seat belt and confront the hijackers head on, your time is quickly running out.
US fighters are making tactical plans to shoot you down.
Make no mistake, the time of airliners flying into buildings is over. Air National Guard folks now have a new mission, homeland security, and they take that mission dead seriously.

No need to fly planes into buildings. There are far more open targets than to have to worry about doing that again.
