Default Howa .308 Tacktical

I in the last 3 years have used a .270 Rem,
and I have made some long shots 375 to 425 range and to my surprise 1 elk, heart shot went 35 yeards and droped.

Now I did'nt get a elk tage this year but did get my deer tage, We as in our group well be hunting the ochoco/desart, just east of Prinvelle

I went out and talked to the shooter (sniper/police dpt) and he said if you want a rifel that well shoot out to 700/800 yards get a HOWA .308 tacktical, you wont belive the shots you well make with this gun.

So I hade to do some work and get one and now that I have it I put a Simmons 6x18x50 scope on it and at our gun range I can see a fly at 100 yards it's toast, the 1000 yard target, well I hit it but with time on the range well get a group.

THIS GUN IN THE RIGHT HANDS IS DEADLY 318.00 for gun 145.00 scope

I have put on a barris bi-pod on it and I just cant miss.
Good luck to all who made the draw. Mr. A

Sounds like an incredible gun. Does that have a bull barrel, synthetic stock, or the non rust finish ? How heavy ?

Get Bit - I have a feeling you better start pumping iron for this guy. Secondary beneifit would be that you will feel better after you carry my goose decoys out to the field.

By the way, I lied. Saw one turkey in the rye grass field on my property a week or so ago. You can come down anytime you want and set up for her.

Please don't take this the wrong way but everybody misses. Some just do it more frequently than others.

I would recommend that you practice a lot of shooting in the wind. It's a great bullet pusher. Learn to shoot that rifle in field like conditions. I don't know of many "bi-pod" shots in hunting situations. There is usally to much grass, sage, or other ground cover. I like adjustable shooting sticks. Good luck on your hunt.

Yes it has a bull barrel 26 inch long and it's 8 pound with out the scope 9 with,
We go out and shoot moving targets starting now to be ready for this year hunt, Now I dont carry this wepon 100% of the time as I stell love my 270, 7400.
I bought it for the long shots that we come across out in the desart.
Good luck if you drawed a tage AGAIN I GOT MINE ALONG WITH 4 OTHER MEMBERS OF OUR PARTY.

Mr.A,

Where did you get such a good deal? Is this a HWR-53102? Used or new?
