Drew a 158 chesnimus buck.. struck out on everything else. Didn't expect the buck tag, but the desolation bull should have been a slam dunk and wasn't.

Looks like a loooong deer season for me. Three deer tags, Second choice high Cascade buck which starts early, antlerless deer and then additional deer which ends late.

No luck on other tags.

I did get W HIGH CASCADE (#119A ) and a bunch of general season tags. On the bright side.... if I get proficient with the bow, I should be able to bow hunt this fall. Better get a practicing.

Struck out on everything. Going on 7 preference points for buck deer. Why so many points..because myself and 6wapiti6 are waiting to draw the troutcreek mts. I've been told it will be worth the wait. 2 more years of waiting. My boy who will hunt deer and elk for his first time (age 12) drew the youth Wilson antlerless elk hunt. Now thats going to be fun.

Dawn and I got a couple buck tags for Paulina. Always a good time.

No other tags( which is OK, as good a year as any to not be real busy). So the next couple years will be really busy.

Mark and the dog.

The gods wern't smiling on me this year either. The wife struck out on her blackpowder deer (Metolius #1) and blackpowder elk (265M). I drew a big zero on my two choices.

Oh well, looks like chicken again this year.

It looks like I'll be hunting Heppner this year and I'm real happy with that.

That's good news for the Salmon and Sturgeon over here. So many great things to do and so little time!
