Default Anything in Lewiston

I have to travel to Lewiston for the weekend, and gonna have a free day on Sunday, no work, I thought I'd better go Fishin'. I have never fished there or know if there is anything to catch this time of year. Im also looking for a Guide, any help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead.

Steelhead in the Clearwater. Check the regs, I think it's catch and release above Memorial Bridge, catch and keep between the bridge and the confluence; barbless hook. I may be down there with a boat load of kids looking for steelhead.

Like adfluvial said, definitely check your regs, but off the top of my head I think it's still a little early up there. Probably a few steelies showing, but prime season is closer to late Sept-October. I also recall there being some sort of bait/tackle restriction during the early part of the season, with the full-scale assault opening up around mid-Oct. I'm sure a local or two will chime in here with some better info. I only fished it a few times back when my brother was going to skool @ UI.

I know a guy who got 12 steelies to the boat last friday on the Clearwater on the lower section. They're already around!
