Default 600 lb Blue Fin Caught off the coast of.......
598lb Blue Fin tuna caught off the coast of New Zealand. Took 4 guys to load it on the boat...this will be a new record??
Is this old news? Did I miss this story or did it happen today?

Anyone got the scoop?

I saw that on the news but was confused by the 'record' talk. There have been many a blue fin caught that were plenty bigger than 600 pounds. like this

I'm guessing it's for a certain tackle class or something.

ya..I thought that the Japanese raise Blue Fin in pens and that many times these fish exceed 700 lbs...could be wrong, which is normal for me lately..

WOW! cool pic....what do you do with a fish like that? Do you take it to a processing plant or filet it yourself?

What I heard on the news is that this is the biggest PACIFIC bluefin caught.

That 600lb baby is one of OUR left coast feeshh!
