Default Gray diggers

Hi everyone,

I've been watching for a while, but haven't posted anything yet. Everyone seems to be pretty friendly here. Anyone have any suggestions for where I can view gray diggers? I prefer watching these cute fuzzy little creatures through my Leupold target scope. I'm interested in 'chucks and sage rats also, but was thinking the diggers might be good for a day trip from the Oregon City area. Of course if these wild creatures get too rambunctious, I'll have self protection in the forms of a .22 pistol on out to a .22-250. Seriously, close range shooting would be fun with a pistol. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

Gray Diggers=Klickitat

Just as fun as prairie dogs. Weapon of choices for me is a Marlin 882SSV 22mag and a Remington 700 22-250
I need to get up there some time and try out my T/C pistol on them!

Wishin'...go over Mt Hood to the White River area. There's alot of diggers on the state land and also the lower part of the national forest. Anywhere around Pine Grove, Rock Creek, Friend, or Dufur. Look for some old rootwads, stump piles, or logging slash with scrub oak in the neighborhood and you should be in business.

Good luck!

Went down 216 and turned into RD220 and took a few of them out. Go get em!! Like the earlier post said, lots of scrub oak and clear cuts.
