Am confident will draw 151 for Bucks again as get every other year with one point. Anyone else heading that direction We always have a camp on the Burnt River above Whitney and there is always room for a few more. Been hunting around Black Canyon for 25 yrs and have killed many monster bucks.

Going bow hunting this year (no points) and I'm going to split time between Sumptner and Long creek. The advantage to the Sumptner is in late Aug. a guy can pan for gold to kill the heat of the day.

I elk hunted just south of the burnt river last year and saw some of the biggest bucks I have ever seen. One of them I even had to check twice to make sure I wasn't looking at an elk. You should have a pretty good chance of seeing some big horn in that area also. Good Luck.

We've hunted this unit for years as well. We too have killed some monsters. Biggest yet is a 7x8 that is listed as the 50th largest deer ever killed in Oregon.

We hunt for elk just East of Brideport on a relatives property. I saw the biggest Muley I have ever seen last year. Had to have a least a 35 inch spread. This monster was sitting on top of the highest ridge line within eye sight. No wonder he that big.
