Hello friends. I`ve been a reader for about a year now. thanks to you fellars and a man who goes by the handle, ( mid-columbia man,) I started salmon and metal head fishin again this spring, after a 12 year lay-off. You all know the story, moved to the upper gorge, got married, had a three smallfrys, and just lost my focus on the S+S fishery. Dont get me wrong, I turned my boys into the hardcore trout studs. ButI was always to afraid to take-em to bigger or swifter water. That was until this past spring when my wife hooked me up widdis fellar from her work, Mid-Columbia Man. He asked me if I wanted to hit Drano for some springers, and after that trip, lets just say, the hook was set deep!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
to make a long story a little shorter,
grew up in portland, fished the sandy religously,(sign in hole, across from jordan creek, it was money!) best trip back then was at the mouth of the sandy. 3 guys, 3 hrs.,32 silvers, it was the best day of fishin I know I will ever have.
Since I have been reborn,i`ve taken a couple out of drano, and the white salmon, and have done very good on the lower deschuttes. My 10 yr. old son took his first metal head last week at drano, and I`m puttin money on my 9 yr.old, that tommorrow will be his day.
Heading to Waldport next week to see if we cant hook into a few hogsters......and, Mid-Columbia Man, lets just say, if you were a chick i`d kiss ya, THANKS BRO!
