Mule Deer feed??

I was woundering about some Mule deer feed that grows fairly fast if possible and can grow in central oregon. So any sugg?????

Ok so it isn't a real fast grower unless you have a lot of water-- If I remember my biology -- Mule deer are browsers (like to eat things with stems) as opposed to a grazer (grass eaters- cattle). So preferance would be Alfalfa, chick pea, that kind of thing.

I would suggest reading the regs on "baiting", however, as I believe it is illegal to use the "food" plot methods seen in the mid-west. So what ever you chose to farm better have some domestic livestock within reach.

I don't think there's any law against hunting deer near a crop. If there were, how would they enforce it? Heck, you wouldn't be able to hunt anywhere near any farmland. A farmer wouldn't be allowed to hunt on his own land. I don't think there is any law against baiting deer, and planting something deer like to eat and then hunting in the area wouldn't be considered baiting anyway.

Not against the law to bait deer and elk! bears and waterfowl are a different story.
