photo op
OK, this is not a whine or plea for a place to hunt (although you just can't have enough of them)
I need a photo of someone calling in a turkey. Anyone in any setting that looks natural, but Skein, I'd even take one off your porch if there's a scenic vista.
It's not necessary to actually kill the tom, just get hunter and bird in the same frame.
This is for a turkey hunting feature, so I have to be careful that it's not, umm, staged...so I certainly am not against the photo subject completing his or her hunt. Women or your child, anyone...
Part of the story will also be the elite nature of hunting areas and secrecy. I'm perfectly willing to be blindfolded and taken somewhere.
I also have a couple of new areas I'm looking at this year, but prefer to have better assurance than my own skills.
I'll head down the valley and points south Saturday afternoon and can be anywhere between Albany and Medford through Monday night.
Thanks very much...hope I don't have to bump this too often...or let it sink down the list and drown.

Re: photo op
if you can't get one, maybe try going to Google, go to the seach for images, type in turkey hunting, turkey hunter, turkey hunting photos, that kind of thing. I get all kinds of photos of things that way.
Good luck.

Re: photo op
Thanks, but the photo needs to be shot locally...by myself or a shooter (one of our own photogs)...

Re: photo op
My ex-brother/sister in laws live near Roseburg and raise exotic birds, (read excess bird food dumped on their property), they have to chase 'em off their porch/cars. They're non hunters so they won't let you (or me) actually kill one.
If you want I'll put you in touch.

Be careful what you ask for, Bill ...be very careful.
I'd be glad to have you come by, but I don't think my place would provide the woodsey setting you need, and besides, I haven't seen the turkeys since opening morning. I hear 'em up the hill, but I'll bet the toms are gone to feathered heaven.

Bill - I heard there was a flock of Turkeys just outside Bouy 1. Can you wait for the pics till the Leadbetter to Falcon Season opens?

Re: photo op
Skein,
Forget I asked and never repeat this to anyone who knows where I live.
