Well I didn't get down to the coast until 10 o'clock Friday but we went out and gave it a try. Wind was blowing and chop was sloppy. Managed to get one 16 lb chinook, two small chinook, and one fin clipped silver by 2:30 in the after noon. Long sloppy ride back in fighting the wind and waves, but got back safely.

Saturday was another story. Foggy, windy, but the ocean wasn't too bad early on. Fished until 1:30 ( had a weigh in for our club's derby at 3:00 ) only caught one keeper and had a hard time finding the fish, then a long ride in again as the ocean started to kick it's heels again. But once again we made it in safely. Saw Fishplay at our weigh in. Nice to have met you Greg. (I hope that's right, Ive got a short memory some times) Very nice boat.
Speaking of short memory. Sunday we headed out in the pea soup. I guess I didn't get enough of that on Saturday. Went to the CR and trolled south. Picked up a couple of natives (released) had a couple drive byes and then nothing. When the rest of the day with nada. Then the fun began as the ocean was not in a calm state and the fog didn't lift. Came back in to find the wall of fog was laying just beyond buoy 10.

Nice and clear at buoy 10. Tried for an hour or two up by the bridge on the Oregon side, but only saw two fish on.

Called it a day at 1:00 and came in. Maybe next weekend.
