I don;t think the Clack has produced well yet. I have seen and heard of some fish come out of the Sandy as of late. Who knows......

Most of the fish I've heard about on the Sandy in the last couple of days have been native. Lots of fun to catch, but not much good for keeping. Not sure about the Clack. The guys I know that fish it haven't been home all weekend but I bet I know where they are.

Two words "north coast". Both the sandy and clackamas are predicting a later than uisual run this year. The majority of both rivers are counting souly on a broodstock program and their runs are supposed to start late. So, if ya want fishy, head westward my friend!

CM - fished Barton to Carver yesterday. Water in great condition, but no fish seen. Not one. I agree with the North Coast recommendation. Drifter.

Drifter- I am glad to hear I am not the only one! I keep fishing the clackamas for winters steelehead, but never get any fish, and never see anyone get any fish.It is really wearing me thin. Especially after the **** poor run that we had for silvers this year on the clack. I hope it picks up soon....I am itchin for some good steelehead fishin!

Thanks for the input everyone. I know the coast is producing but wanted to stay close to home this weekend. Besides, our day on the river got canceled anyway :depressed: .
Thanks

Floated Barton to Carver yesterday. Drift fished, threw spinners, backtrolled shrimp, eggs, plugs, excellent water conditions, excellent bait, no fish no hits. Talked to seven boats, one guy said they had one. Gooood L.U.C.K.........
