Default Tips and tricks for Suttle Lake??

Going fishing with my StepDad who lives in Camp Sherman. Does anyone know what to use and where on Suttle Lake? Will be fishing from a boat. I guess someone caught 19lb. out of there in 2003. It is stuffed and in the lodge.
Thanks for any help.

For Browns, either still fish bait off the shoreline, or troll Rapalas. For Kokes, I have only jigged for them at Suttle. We used a 1/2 ounce lead mooching weight. Paint it white and add a treble with a split ring and tip with white corn. I imagine most jogs would work fine. Ask the store for more info when you arrive.

We do flies for the browns in the evening, crippled herring jigs for the kokes. And that works for the browns too sometimes. We stay down in the no-wake zone, kinda in the middle during the day, all over in the evening. A fishfinder helps find the schools of kokes. They kinda circle around so you can stay put if you find the pattern. Anchor in their path and just hang out in the lulls between bites. It's usually just a few minutes.

Don't bother with the Kokes this year. They are a total waste of time. The browns should be biting, as there are no Kokanee to eat this year. Try trolling a small rainbow trout colored Rapala along the north shore in shallow water early and late. In the middle of the day swim or ski or go to Billy Chinook.
