Marine Park boat ramp Wa side PDX area.
I just wanted to say great job on the up grade to the docks. I am not sure who was responsible but they got a much needed facelift. Thanks

Re: Kaiser boat ramp Wa side PDX area.
Marine Park or Portco ...never heard it called Kaiser ??
City of Vancouver is the one who fixed it.

Thanks for the correction I thought someone told me it was the old kaiser ship yard and thus the name.

Re: Marine Park boat ramp Wa side PDX area.
From I-5 take Hwy 14 East(first exit in Wa) to the Columbia Exit (First exit on 14) turn right at the off ramp then make a left at the first light Columbia Blvd. Follow that for about 1 mile you will see a sign for the ramp right turn by the park. There is a $3 launch fee in the summer but it is free all winter.

The directions sound like Portco. Are Marine Park and Portco the same? I've looked at Marine Park from the river, and I though it was west of I5. I've been known to hallucinate, though. And I didn't see a boat ramp at Marine Park. Is there one there?

Those directions are to Portco. It is directly accross the river from the James Gleason launch in Oregon. Not sure about the other names mentioned.

Re: Marine Park boat ramp Wa side PDX area.
Glad you guys like the new docks. Just a FYI.....Permits for installation were over $50,000 and a year long process. Can't remember waht the actual cost of the docks were . Grating on the decks had to allow a certain percentage of light into the water so the fish "could see" and wouldn't get "lost". As one of the guys who is responsible for the City of Vancouver to keep the Marine park boat ramp docks in good shape,I was glad to see the wood docks go away.
