Just downloaded the latest SST shot. Looks like the warm water has moved onshore a bunch! Good temp break at 44 50 124 30, straight out the 44 50 line from Depoe Bay.

If running from Newport for Tuna Town (45/125), it looks like the first temp break to 59/60 degrees is about 23 miles out and the next big break, to about 62/63 degrees, comes about 32 miles (TT = 47 miles from Newport, 41.5 miles from Depoe Bay).

This is the first decent SST shot we have had since Aug 4 and it looks like, if temp has any bearing on where these fish are hanging out, we may be overshooting them.

I will know alot more by sundown tomorrow (but will be away from a computer).

PS: Chlorophyl goes from 6 to 100 on a N/S line just east of the Rock Pile but the view is truncated to the est at that point. West of the pile shows very little chlorophyl.

We fished this entire extensively yesterday (when that SST shot was done) and turned up with only a single fish. I was out with Ray on the Sea Lion, and we worked the entire area there hard. WP was out on his boat, and there were a few others there as well all working the general area.

The warm water is there, the blue water is there, the decent ocean was there, the Ifishers were there, the fish were MIA.
