Default Nahalem crabbing?

I know from reports Nehalem fishing is slow. Taking my buddies kids out fishing Friday but thought we could drop some pots and at least pull something out of the water. Any reports? Thanks

A friend of mine picked up 28 the other weekend on shad. That seemed to be the key, others without did not fair as well.

I crabbed just outside of the jetty in about 20' of water 2 weekends ago, over 30 keepers in the 7-8" range for 2 pots, 1 pull! The crabs where soft. wouldn't recommend crossing the bar unless the seas are VERY calm, the bar is about 10' deep.
