Default Mouth of Deschutes?

Just got my first motorized boat for my 40th and I want to take it out this Saturday. I'm too intimidated by Bouy 10 so I'm just wondering how its been at the mouth of the Deschutes the last week or so. The few times I've fished it July and Sept seemed a lot better than August - would I be wasting my time?

Dont be too intimidated by Bouy 10.... Just keep in mind that you dont have to fish out at 10 to get into fish. Theres lots of action right out of hammond when the fish are pumping through. Fish on the incoming tide, or have someone go along that has some experience..... I dont even fish out by 10 anymore, it can certainly be a mad house. Just be carefull and aware of whats going on around you.. Good luck wichever location you choose.

Can you spell W-I-N-D? It's been blowin' and is expected to keep blowin' through the weekend. My boat is staying in the barn this weekend.

Good luck with it.... T :depressed:

You still going dude? With the temps dropping and you hit it early as legally possible, you'll get one. I'd say bring your bikes for when the wind picks up. Heck of a long way to go for a fish or two (be sure and tell her that). So if the woman is out for whatever reason (like after telling her that), let me know...!@#!
You up for the disc/fish trip or what this year? We're booking so let me know! With your boat (and my boat if more are interested), we could hit Dabney and Rooster Rock in the afternoon, fish morning and evening in the CR honey hole. Mmmmmmm... Salmon/steelhead huevos rancheros!
