Bird Dogs I Have Known

There are a couple of active threads on Ifish boards right now about recent passing of Man's Best Friend. :depressed:

How about a photo thread of our gone but not forgotten dogs?

If this works (thanks in advance, Skein), there should be picture of my springer spaniel Dexter with a brace of coast range ruffed grouse he flushed then retrieved after I dropped (a double!) 'em with my Spanish 28 guage side-by-side. I got Dexter as a pup in 1981 and he lived to be 13 yrs old....until he developed cancer and had to be put down in 1994.



The next one is my chocolate labrador Odell with a wild Willamette Valley pheasant he flushed & retrieved after the 28 spoke again. This photo was taken at my old duck lease on the South Santiam. Got Odell as a pup in 1991 and had to have him put down Dec.30,2002 due to bone cancer, not quite 12 yrs old.




Anyone else got pictures of their 4-legged former hunting buddy?
