Default Alumaweld Intruder owners

I may be in the market for a 20' Intruder with an outboard and offshore bracket and I need to know a couple measurements. I have to keep it in my garage and need to know how long the boat and trailer are,as well as the height of the boat on the trailer, and the width of the trailer.

I have 29' to play with for depth,so I don't think the length will be an issue. I'm mainly concerned about the height of the boat and width of the trailer.

Thanks.

It sounds like you're aiming at an awesome boat but I recommend you also consider the Intruder with the inboard V-6. My buddy has one with an 18 degree hull and that is one awesome ocean going boat. It flies fast and gets excellent mileage.

And, you would have no worries about it fitting in your garage.

Good luck and be sure to post pics when you get it.

I've got the boat you're talking about. I just ran out to the parking lot (fished before work this morning...got one summer king) and got some approx measurements.

Length-from tongue (non-swing) to the back of the motor in the down position....27'

Width-from fender to fender....approx 102"

Height-From ground to the top of the rolled up top/frame asembly resting on the windshield....approx 7.5'

You could lose 6" if you removed the top completely. These are pretty accurate measurements, but nor perfect.

I'll send ya a "pm" also!

I have a 20' Intruder with a 10 degree bottom 72' wide. My garage door is 9' high. It will not fit inside with the top up by about 4". The doors are 8' wide and I just roll in with about 1 inch free on each side.

A deeper degree vee will sit higher on the trailer and the new wide bottoms (82") must be wider on the trailer too.

Now I have more thinking to do. I live in a neighborhood with CCRs and I have to keep RVs and boats screened from view. If whatever boat I buy won't fit in the garage, and from these measurements a 20' Intruder wont,I have to re-think my options.

I love Pete's idea. But if that isn't an option you could park that new boat at my house and we'll let you use it when we're not in it . No CCRs in my neighborhood.

BCF here for you.

What about a swing tong on the trailer? Seen some that swing under the bow so the length of the boat becomes your stored length - Wood Shampoo's North River has that type of trailer if he still has the boat.
