With all the unhappy, arguement geared posts I've read today

thought I'd share a new expierence for me fishing the mouth of Tanner Creek with all the "regulars" that fish there. Got to meet the "leader" Tom, was actually a nice pleasent guy once you got to know him! I have actually avoided fishing the east bank of the creek b/c it seemed to me that this was a tight group that did not like to let "newbies" on their turf. We all lined up at the gate at 7am, picked out our spots and guess where I ended up....right in the middle of about 20 poles. Tom was actually nice enough to go over the "rules" and explained what needs to happen where, when and why. I thank you for all the help, no I didn't catch any fish that day "managed 3 drive bys

/oh well" And at the end of the day, I stayed out of trouble and even got a reply of "man, you look like you done this b/f??" I smiled and said "thanks"

All in all about 15 steelies caught, some in the creek in the morning some on the east side, some on the west side. Small spin-n-glows tossed out with about 8oz of weight was the trick. Can't wait to try it again, but its time to get the boat ready for the busy fall run!!!

to all you guys at Tanner!!!!! thanks again for another great day on the water!!
