Default My IFish Goose Hunt Top 10 List

Once again guys Great Day !! I felt compelled to come up with a top 10 list of memories for the day. David Letterman I am not but here's the best I could come up with.

1. Decoys that eat Popcorn ? ..... would Wonderbread would work better ?

2. Dave Smith Decoy being crushed by the real thing... Dave failed to see the humor in it.

3.Passing 2 Cigarettes down the line... ??????

4.Dave Smith's lunch eaten ....only the Slimfast remained.

5. 1/4 of the hunting party lost in the dark fog before daylight....keep the duck lake on your left.

6.Dave Smith's new secret weapon decoy..That's how he does it!!

7.GRB's flooded Final Approach... Good thing you wore waders!

8.North River 1: I want that Saunders GP !!!

9. The infamous retrieve by Monroe and Cochran .. Great mark ...but you guys sure had the sheep nervous !

10. Nice try on the Ammo box and the disabled permit Cochran but you won't be able to get that front row spot at Sportsman's Warehouse after all.

Anybody else want to add to the list ??????

11. Rauly getting smacked repeatedly on the side of the head by hulls flying from the gunner to his left. (He was getting real flinchy)

12. GRB trying to convince us that he does something besides hunt and fish every day. (Does he really ever work?)

Get Bit,

One of the funniest things I remember, about 9:30 when at my end we were passing goose jerky, goose sausage around with Skein, Goosemand, Gary and me, I looked down the line of open blinds and see at least 15 bags of assorted "goose stuff" being passed back and forth at the same time.

Funny how hard core goose hunters spend so much time trying to come up with things to do with goose meat

Skein,

I do too work, I do, I do, I do!!!

BTW, Went 5/6 on the Siletz with Grant on Monday, and 5/5 just me and my buddy on the Nestucca today

I'm so darn tired of getting up early that I have decided to go back to work for the rest of the week so I can get some
GRB

I think the top 10 list should be:

The Top 10 things passed down the line of 21 Blinds at the Goose shoot:

Rauly, you should have known better than to pick that Blind next to me - I had already run Steve the camera man out before you sat there - if you look close at that pic of me shooting into the sky youll see the Chamber opening about to put a 3.5" hull into his camera lens.

A few more...

13. Some of the natural "honking" sounds echoing from inside an eliminator just down wind from me. (I can't imagine how painful that might be on a still day.)

14. GRB...he is walking comedy.

15. Walking up on 10 guys on thier knees in the mud "knitting" weeds and grass into a blind in the early morning light. Looked like some kind of wierd self help recovery group.

16. The 500am truck convention at Safeway. (aka: the mini sportsman's show).
