Default Tillamook Bar

Howdy folks,
I have been across the WP and LaPush bars many times, but never down to Tilamook. I am supposed to be taking a 33' Cat out of there next weekend, the 6th. I see that there is a 3.7 kt ebb going to a -0.3 ft low. Does this bar work like Wp, so it's rougher on the big ebb?? How is that bar anyway? Any tips would be helpful.
Thanks

Here is the number for the Tillamook Coast guard station. I am sure they would advise you.

Tillamook Coast Guard 503-322-3531

I suggest waiting for the flood tide.

Barviewrocks is right on the money, that entrance can get very ugly under those conditions. Exactly how much worse than "ugly" depends on the size of the seas coming in. Count on waiting for the incoming tide, and then call the CG.

Kinda what I figured, but "Local Knowledge" can be very helpful!!
I've got the coastal Pilot, and charts, and the route out looks pretty straight forward, just was wondering if they dreged it enough to make a big difference. Guess we'll wait 'til noon or so.
Thanks for the info!!!
