Default Tuna Boat experts.

Hi I am new to the big blue and have just recently purchesed a new boat to me that I think will be great going after Tuna. I would like to get your opinions on it for an ocean going vessal.

22' long aluminum boat with twin screws with a 60 gallon gas tank, Awing, enclosed cab and 2 large freezers.

Pictures below.

Tell us where it'll be moored, with those freezers we'll all want to tie up alongside for carking and freezing our tuna!

Do you guys think I should weld on some more cross bracing on the awning? I thinking it might rack a little during some heavy seas?

Thanks for the kind words sea dogs about my new ride.

I will be offering open seats for tuna grounds very soon.

Now here is a fine ride, should handle big blue in heavy seas without a problem. Add a few nails to the poles and you can have a place to hang those longlines too.

That is one nice machine. Dual engines, fighting chair and a blast freezer. Hope Rod doesn't see it.

hey, put that baby on the boat, put a garbage can lid under it as a firepan (as if one is needed when the boat is on the ocean!), and cover it with black plastic and you have an onboard smoker! Fresh smoked tuna loins! Snacks for eating while catching more tuna!

Those aren't freezers, those are the septic tanks. It's an enviro-friendly Tuna boat!

Hmm- I just realized you said aluminum. You might want to stick to running the Rogue in that thing.

Looks like a good crawdad boat for the bayous! I think I would put some outriggers on it and a keel for the tuna grounds! Thanks I needed something like that at work today!
