Default Snake River Breaks

My hunting buddy and I have talked for years about trying the breaks of the Snake River. We are looking at the area between say Little Goose Dam and say Clarkston. Do any of you know much about this area. Both of us have 20 foot sleds that we plan to use over there. We are looking at deer hunting only.

i replied to this on another board but I'll do it again. Get high and glass. I have seen most of the big bucks over there when I have come in over the top looking for chukars.
The higher you are the better off you'll be. Good luck

fish4fun,

I hunted the breaks for 4 years while over at WSU. Lots and lots of deer, and lots and lots of hunters. I managed to kill a deer 3 out of 4 years but you have to scout and now where the deer will be come sun up. After that, deer are running everywhere. 99% is private land and we had permission from some farmers that bordered a hunting club. Ask the farmer how many people he lets on his land each year. That will be the key to success. Most all areas of the breaks will hold deer. Good luck.
