There's dininng up and down the boardwalk. Several pizza places in town. The main strip has an arcade and a lot of shops to visit. You can fish, crab off the north bridges. Ride your bikes. Astoria to the north usually has a farmers market going during the summer on the weekends. Astoria also has the lewis and clark column (forgot the name of it) that you can walk up. Fort stevens is between seaside and astoria. If you go south 15 minutes you can go to Cannon Beach. More shops, haystack rock, dining places. Do you have kids or are you alone? Pat

Thanks for the info Pat. No kids, just momma and me. I bet there is more to do than we have time for. What is your favorite restaurant?

The chineese reataurant right on 101 and the river about 1 mile from the A&W, on right hand side northbound has pretty good food.

Drive on the beach about 8 miles N of town.

Largest Stika Spruce in Nation, 8 miles south on Hwy 26

Visit the Maratime museum in Astoria

Take the westport ferry ( 15 +/- miles) east of Astoria over to Washington and then make a loop. Go north to Willipa Bay on Long beach penisul ane buy some Oysters, 30 sec per, 5 on a plate in Microwave, enjoy.

The little restaurant on the right hand side eastbound from Hammond right after you cross the Skipanon river has great food. Owner cooks, servs, buses, etc, so not a quick place but good food.

Have fun
