Cowlitz Report 7-24(Pics)

We fished the Cowlitz Tuesday thru Friday this last week, even with some very sudden heavy flows on Tuesday(2550 cfs to 4770 cfs)had some success.

Fished hard all day on Tuesday for two bites and two steelhead @ about 8#.

On Wednesday had some great Cougs out for a morning half day trip, retired Prof Dr.Denney Rutherford started off on the first pass....

Len Jussep of the WSU Foundation hooked up on the next...

WSU president Lane Rawlins soon followed...

GO COUGS!!!

On Thursday mornings 1/2 day trip, fished with board member Eddie and his son, who caught his first and second steelhead ever...

Friday fished MaxMad and buddys, they had a great day going 6-9 by 2:00 p.m. both sidedrifting and pullin plugs...

I'm down to my last 6 days on the Cow this summer, we end on August 1st, then start CR gorge downrigger troll trips on August 6th and have seats open starting that week.

Thanks to all ifishers that joined me on the Cowlitz this summer, it was a pleasure!

Right on Bob, and way to hook our fellow Cougs up with some fish!! I'll be heading over to the Cow next weekend, so hopefully we'll get into some fish. Good work...once again!!

Due to late cancelations, I can offer 2 seats on Saturday July 30th, if you want in on some of this Cowlitz summer run action.
This will be first come first serv, and please get ahold of me ASAP, as I'm heading back to the river Tuesday night and won't be able to check emails.

nope their wasn't a yellow "ZERO" on that hat, if I recall it was from a Hell's Canyon charter company, not sure which one?
