Default Fishing Help At Cascade Locks

I'll be working up there all next week so I'll be boatless. What's on tap for a bankie around there for some afterwork fishing?

Get your heavy Salmon rod, 3 spinners and a 32 oz. cannonball sinker. Milk crate full of rocks for a pole holder. Rig your spinners 3 feet apart with a short dropper on the bottom for your sinker. Fish there at the locks about 6- 8 inches off the concrete walls at the locks. Let your rig down until your top spinner is about 10 to 12 feet deep. Or drive up the road to Government cove just East of there and go bass fishing. Also a sturgeon hole at the top of the locks. Good luck!

Yeah, the old locks are a really good place to start. I was shad fishing there back in june and watched a Russian guy hook into what I thought was just a big shad. Actually it was 25-30" native metalhead. He just couldn't understand why that fish had to go back. I think he was mad at me .
Anyway, all he was doin was drifting yarn, three hooks rigged about like codfish described, except all we had on was flourecent green yarn.
