Default Open seats Monday 7-25 Columbia PDX area.

I will be fishing on Monday and have a couple open seats. I would like some experienced fisherman to go I am open for suggestions as to where to go. I am fairly new to this area and don't know many spots. I have a 21' NR Seahawk to fish from. I would like at least one of the seats to be filled with someone that knows the area good and where to fish the other seat can be a new guy. Preference will be given to a father son team or a couple buddies who want to get out in a boat. Send me a PM and we can talk.
Mike

Mark I am sure I have room for you but I am not sure where a bus stop is that would be close to the river but I could probably pluck you off a dock somewhere. Look into it and let me know.

Hey Mike,
Do you know where fisherman's Landing transit center is? Just off SR 500 east of vancouver. There is a C-Tran Express Bus that head over there from portland everyday. If you can't pick me up there, There's a ton of busses there, so if you give me a general area, I can ride most of it and walk the rest. Also, will you be going to ifishtock? I'm going to bring my mom along, and she likes to meet the guys I'm going fishing with before I head out, Security thing. If not, she can just have a quick conversation on the phone or something. Anyways, hope you don't mind.

Thanks,

Mark

I think my friend lives in that area. He lives just west of 164th ave. And north aways from mill Plain. Is this the Area your talking about? If so, then I know a bus route to get over to the Big 5 on mill plain. I ussually walk after that.

Yes that is the area if the bus goes by GI Joes on mill plain that is about 4 blocks from my house. Big 5 would be ok too.

OK! I can get there probably 6:30 in the morning earliest. I"ll get the bus schedules and a watch and be on time for everything. My mom will probably want to call you on sunday, so a phone number between now and then would be nice. Pm me.

Thanks again,

MArk

I just had to do something I feel real bad about. I can not take this young man fishing without another adult present. I know it sounds bad but not knowing him or his family you never know what you could be accused of later. If someone on here would have gone along I think it would have been ok. I also think at his age it is scarey to go with someone you have never met. What has this world come to? I feel really bad about this because I really would like to take him fishing. The sad thing is I will bet he is a great kid and has a wonderful family. I would like to invite you again next time when I have one of my usual fishing buddies along.

Better safe than sorry. Then again, if he is too young to take care of himself on a fishing trip should he really be surfing the internet unsupervised?

HRbassin, you need a permission slip from mom, these aren't the good old days. Well maybe they are, but talk with mom.

First of all I'm 15, so I can take perfectly fine care of my self. 2nd of all, I made a point for Mike to talk to my Mom on the phone, which they did. Mike just didn't feel comfortable with the situation and decided not to take me, which is his right and I hold nothing against him. Now if anyone else has an open seat today or tommorrow, I am open. Just be warnewd this Time that I am 15 years old and I do not have an adult that can come with me.
