Head Count for Vancouver Meeting 7/28 @10am
How many are planning to be there
Public Service Center
6th floor
1300 Franklin
Vancouver
7/28 thurs @ 10AM
This is your fall fishery folks.
Note; Just found out that the meeting is in the Hearing Room and it can seat only 80 people. Now it seems that would be pretty easy to fill up with concerned fisherman and women, don't it?

Re: Head Count for Vancouver Meeting 7/28 @10am
Sounds like this would be a better use of my time than fishing anyways, count me in. I'll see if I can get fourteen to join me. Lunch afterwards at Roses?

Re: Head Count for Vancouver Meeting 7/28 @10am
I am writing "void" on my punchcard and sending it to the governor. I also will refuse to enter the Region 5 offices again, until our manager is replaced. Tough call for me, as many of my long time friends work there, but i just cannot support the Columbia River commercial fishery any more.
I'll be fishing in Canada almost the entire month of September (as I was in June) and if this sounds like I am terminally fried, it is....

Writing VOID and sending it in will mean nothing to them and you not going into their office will mean one less complaint they have to deal with. Also, taking your business to Canada is exactly what the issue is here. Local business are hurting from this type of (mis)management and people are going else ware. Stick to your guns and be there on the 28th. As you said your fried, but your not alone. I'm just refusing to give up on the problem. See you there

I think if we just met in the parking lot 30 to 40 minutes prior to the start that would be good. Also there will be a couple of gentlemen from NSIA and they hopefully can give us some tips on how we can make the biggest impact by letting them know were serious about these issues.

Re: Head Count for Vancouver Meeting 7/28 @10am
It would be a good idea to review the JOINT STAFF REPORT
CONCERNING THE 2005 FALL IN-RIVER COMMERCIAL
HARVEST OF COLUMBIA RIVER FALL CHINOOK SALMON,
SUMMER STEELHEAD, COHO SALMON, CHUM SALMON,
AND STURGEON, issued July 20, 2005. The report is not yet available at Columbia River Compact web site, however. If you would like a copy, please e-mail me and I can send either a Word or PDF version of the document. It's long - 64 pages - so plan accordingly.

I can likely attend until noon, or so, and will try to bring one or two others.

Are we getting together ahead of the hearing? Parking lot? Other suggestions?
