Default Dirty Trick

I bought a pak of Reflective Thumb Tacks for where I hunt.

I wanted to see how well they worked so I walked way out into a clear cut and pinned two of them up on a chunk of
wood. During the evening at that distance it looks somewhat like an Elk standing in the field when you shine a light on it. So Saturday while out with a friend he spotted the field and the Tacks lit up. Too bright really. But it fooled him. He figured it out when I started laughing.

So the next day I moved them back another 100 yards.

This could be a lot of fun.

I'd like to try it agian but make up a whole heard.

During the day there's no clue.

That is really funny give me an idea for my Montana decoy..... Could you imagine what would happen if you put them on limbs that moved slightly in the breeze? It would be fun to video tape the mad scrambles and the careless sneaks. How about the guy unloading his rifle at an unidentified target. I would make sure that no Anti's get a copy of that video.

I use flagging tape with reflective tape stuck to it. Works both day and nite. This give me too many ideas to mess with road hunters because once they are out of their vehicle they tend to wander around and that could be used to push animals into a known area where I would already be set up. I have learned to appreciate and use the road hunters it keeps animals in very predictable places.

Look what you have started Abalone!

It would be most likely if you added some horns, #$!@$$ oops I mean some Sticks that look like antlers and maybe some Elk Head shaped Cardboard.

It would serve them right !

This is TOTALLY unrelated to hunting, please no flames  but your trick reminded me of a night golf tournament I was in a few years back....long story short,
We knew the group behind us and after putting out, instead of placing the flag with the glow-stick attached back into the hole, we placed it in the center of the greenside sand trap. Pretty funny stuff!
Don't worry, no money or prizes involved, just playing for fun.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack
