Default New to the website

Hello,
Here goes with my first posting to this website. I have lived in Oregon my whole life and within the last few months have been bitten by the "fishin' bug"! My fishing buddy and I have mainly been doing a lot of bank fishing around Milwaukie, Canby and Wilsonville with limited success. Last night I got ahold of a 1 1/2 lb small-mouth out of the Pudding River using a red/silver Sonic RoosterTail. We are both very interested in learning some tactics to catching more and bigger bass around here. Any tips such as preferred bait, lures, or even some leads on good fishing spots would be greatly appreciated. The spots we usually hit up aren't as productive as they would seem by looking at them and we usually end up catching more of a beer-buzz than any good fish! Again any useful information would be appreciated and good luck to everyone. thanks

There is a bass board on ifish, and those are the bass experts. This board tends to be more salmon and steelhead oriented.
Welcome to ifish, though!
Glad you stopped by!

Ditto what Jennie saie and welcome to the board. The Willi can be pretty productive for bass. If you want salmon and steelhead and are confined to the bank, during the runs try Meldrum Bar. If you go down there you will see how to fish it. Watch the regulars. Good luck and again welcome.
