Default Has anyone been fishing St Helens

I have not heard any reports anything going on out there. We are planning on fishing on thursday.

It's been pretty slow for salmon, there are plenty of steehead to be caught though. Go shallow

Fished it Saturday afternoon, lots of weeds and moss. Check your presentation often. No luck on Sat afternoon for us, but did hear the fish checker say that they checked 1 salmon and thats it. That was at the Scappoose Bay launch.

Thursday's low slack is at 2:09pm, I'd want to be there definitely for the last four hours leading down to that time.

We escaped the heat last night with dinner and fishing on the river - no salmon interupted our dinner, but the tide timing was off. No real problems with salad, our mainlines and sliders caught it, but our lures were always fishing.

Just at sunset, Mt.St.Helen's had a minor eruption which was cool to watch with the open vista on the river.
