my brother-in-law has passed away and left behind a bow. I think it is a "Carrol" any input would be appreciated.

Re: Carrol Bow?
That bow is from the early 70's. They built the first compounds. I would hold on to it if I were you. Like all those old rods and reels that seem to have increased in value over the years.

Re: Carrol Bow?
It should be a 4 wheeler, they were very expensive at the time.

Re: Carrol Bow?
Thanks Shark,
Early 70s????
Is this something a novice like me could learn with and later put away as a momento?
Would it be dependable for killing deer (or other small animals)?

Re: Carrol Bow?
Sure, you could have the limbs checked out at a good shop and if ok use it. I doubt you could get any part of it replaced if something breaks with the exception of the string. I really don't know that for sure so I'd ask the people at a pro shop. They are heavy in the field but built for stout. I bought one in 1973 but reverted back to my old ways with a stick.

Re: Carrol Bow?
Don't know which you have, but PSE did make a Carrol model bow as well.

Re: Carrol Bow?
I had the PSE Carrol Intruder. I think they also made a Carrol Marauder. My Carrol Intruder was bought new in 1994. I just traded it in with another bow for a Mathews Legacy. Kind of wish I had kept it - with the round wheels it was a tack driver of a bow. If yours doesn't say PSE on it, it's probably the 1970's bow, but probably named after the same guy.

Re: Carrol Bow?
I too have the PSE Carroll Intruder. If it is this bow, you've got a dandy.
I used to shoot 3D tournies, and always did very well against the guys with the Mach 6 Customs (I even bought one, but didn't care for it), which were twice as much $ or more.
Keep it and use it if you own one.

Re: Carrol Bow?
CK, WH and KT,
Thanks for the info. I want to keep it for the memories :depressed:
But I also thought that it would be nice to be able to make new ones too!
