Default Mild weather for NW

I have a bad feeling about our hunting season in the east, I have heard of drought forcast which will lead to land closure and fire danger so I am skeptable about putting in for any hunts.... time will tell.

It's not for the lack of moisture. The problem is it's all rain. What snowpack there was is already starting to melt. We need some real winter weather.

Winter is over. I heard frogs croaking at Fern Ridge Wildlife area earlier this week. The Spring Beauties (Montia sp.) are up and in bloom on my hillside. The manzanita bushes are flowering. The Indian Plum shrubs have broken bud, are leafing out and will be flowering in a day or two. Summer is right around the corner!

My fruit trees are budding and I never pruned 'em.

Daffodils are out even at upper elevations.

Screwey year for sure.

Could be a good year to bushwack springers in low water.

Good survival for big game, last 2 winters.

Fire closures usually have to do with wet springs and dry summers.

Definitely a warm winter.
