Default What ramp at Green Peter?

I will be making my first trip to Green Peter this Friday and was wondering which boat ramp to use? Is there a fee to use either of them?

Thissle is a good one.. There is also the gravel boat ramp and it is just a bit farther up the road it is actually right at @ the 15 mile mark to be exact. We as a group spend ALOT of time up there.

Thanks for the reply. One other quick question my wife wants to know. Is there any restroom facilities at Thistle Creek?

Yes they do have out house, but I will warn you if she must use tp then she must take some in the bathroom with her as usually they are out of tp.
And at the gravel boat ramp there is also a bathroom that is about 1/4 mile up the road (not even that far, I dont think) just up over the first little bridge on your left is more out houses, I also recomend tp for those.
Beautiful area Enjoy!
We also do Jetskiing up there. It is wonderful.

Gravel boat ramp? There's Thistle, then further on there's Whitcomb and both are paved ...where's the 15 mile mark? Are you measuring 15 miles from something, or is there a mile post with '15' on it?? Might be just right for our 6-horse wood skiff...

15 miles from were you turn off of hwy 20.. There is actually a 15 mile marker but it is right before the 15 mile marker on the right side, cant miss it. But it is gravel. See boats launch there all the time.

If you have 4x4 then you can launch a smaller boat at the dam. Ok, I've launched a 20' trophy and a 22' thunderjet there but I would suggest limited slip and a bigger heavier rig. There is bathroom facilities there too.

*IF* the water is high enough. It gets nasty if it's too low ...a friend and I did that once and darn near didn't get either back out of there, the truck OR the boat. No ARB Air Locker in our rig... and no Detroits.

Who said "ARB"? Is it time to start comparing Jeeps and Toyotas?

(I know, "ARB" and "Jeep vs Toyota was a wild leap, but sometimes you just have to....)

They all have failed to mention the campground boat ramp. It's alright to use, too.

Thanks for the info on the campground ramp ...didn't know there was one.

And ARB makes air lockers for all makes of differentials. They'll take anybody's money.
